BOBBIE* is a Resident DJ at PAL, Hamburg and a regular host of her event series HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. BOBBIE* grew up in Cologne where the music scene was very much characterized by Kompakt’s minimal sound and the Total Confusion parties they threw at Studio 672 around the early 2000. Being in that vibrant club atmosphere was what got her interested in buying vinyl. As she moved to Hamburg in 2003 she became even more motivated to pursue DJing because there were so few women DJing in Hamburg. She became a resident at PAL when it opened in 2014. Since then, she´s been playing there about once a month. She genuinely likes many different styles of music, but her sets usually end up meandering through acid, electro, techno, wave and industrial. Even though she chooses from a diverse palette, the common thread between her selections is that they always return to a certain darkness and relentlessness, which she likes to dissolve with melodic interludes. Her sound takes you on a journey through the depth of underground machine funk guided by dark soundscapes, chirping 303 modulations, diverse drum programming from our favorite cities and that kind of soul which makes her approach so special.

German based Boom Shankar is a Dj for Psychedelic Trance, the label manager of BMSS Records and an event promoter within Europe. Having been initiated into the Goa Trance scene in the early Nineties and by traveling the globe ever since, his sets are a mirror of the constant melting pot of fundamental Psytrance characteristics. Whether he is guiding the dance floor through the night or into the morning, the outcome is always a voyage filled with a depth and an energy that allows the crowd to feel a sense of freedom through Trance. Bruno Zayas comes from what was once a small rural town in Mexico and formerly a native civilization (Cholula). The mixture of native roots with popular sentiments has always been very influential in the musical journey and "bailanguero" (dance journey). Giving the result to intervene with the audience with a mixture of these two roots, to fill them with CUMBIA in heart and soul, but with the detail of amplifying dance and pleasure with electronic, Balkan or African sounds. Hailing from Lafayette, Louisiana, Bukkha started producing dub music in 2007 with his debut vinyl release dropping just 2 years later backed with a remix from none other than Radikal Guru. Praised for his uniquely energetic DJ sets, he was a figurehead in the gulf coast bud/bass scene until 2015, before emigrating to Spain, where he now resides. With an instrumental background in guitar and bass starting when he was 11-years-old, Bukkha, real name Evert Cristoff, was raised on the sounds of everything from Luke Vibert to Madlib to Billie Holliday, which has molded the uniquely versatile compositional style we hear from him today. Having dropped releases with a number of notable imprints in the scene, including Moonshine, Dub-Stuy, ZamZam Sounds, Green King Cuts, Infernal Sounds, and War, along with a number of forthcoming releases on some very reputable reggae/dub labels, Bukkha has also remixed tunes for Roommate, Radikal Guru, Tuff and Powa, Danny Scrilla, Jojo Mac and more. With support from the likes of Mala, J:Kenzo, N-Type, Channel One Sound System, Radikal Guru, Numa Crew and a wealth of other influential DJs, he toured extensively around Europe, the UK, US and Canada in 2018 with plans in the works to tour Central and South America, Asia, and Austrialia in 2019. As an artist manager, raver and all-round muso, Dangermami had already learnt the ins and outs of the electronic scene before even laying a finger on a mixer. Upon deciding to step from the dancefloor into the booth, she founded a mentorship programme to help other femmes looking to launch their careers. Being a DJ since 1998, Scratchynski's musical journey startet with techno and faded to house in the early 2000s. From 2008 Dubstep and Grime dominated his musical interests, what led to the monthly series "Sub der Republik", from which the Sub Sickness crew emerged, that strongly influenced the Dresden bass music scene with top-class guest performances by Mala, Om Unit, Kahn, Eprom and many more. But since musical style boundaries were never Scratchynski's thing, electronically infected Hip Hop á la Flying Lotus, Eprom, Gaslamp Killer etc. in connection with the first Footwork releases already met wide open ears at this time. This is especially true for Funky Monkey, when Scratchynski, DNZ and east enter the DJ Spaceship and play entire nights together on 4 decks and 3 mixers. Solo, his sets are characterized by all the influences that shaped his musical path - an eclectic mix of HipHop, Glitch, Juke, Future Beatz and a good portion of bass. You can hear it regularly on the Infinite Sequence series and the corresponding monthly podcast. Besides his activities as DJ and promoter, Scratchynski is one of the founders of the Dresden based DAVE Festival.

Selektor Bony, music lover and collector of sounds, was born in Mexico City and grew up surrounded by tropical rhythms, accompanied by the acoustic contamination of the planes that thundered ceaselessly over his neighbourhood. In search of new opportunities and challenges, his path led him to Seville, Spain, where he lived for more than ten years and organised the city's first reggae and cumbia parties before settling in Berlin.

An artist like Semprey is a rare sight in Kraków. Disconnected from local techno and house scenes, he started finding common interests with musicians from the East Coast club scene, producers from Latin America, British followers of the hard drum, hip hop innovators and other Internet-based deconstructors. As a DJ, he’s gracefully walking the thin line between crowd pleasing and cutting edge sound design. Semprey has a knack for editing pop tunes, turning them into full-blown club tracks that mash up all of his musical interests into highly kinetic bangers.

Over the course of two decades, Shinedoe has carved a path into the world of house and techno that is entirely her own. Chinedum Nwosu’s relentless passion for the finer elements of electronic dance music has seen her win over hearts and minds in every aspect she has turned her attention to - from her transformative DJ performances, authoritative productions and exquisitely curated labels - former Intacto and now the newly formed MTM Records (Music That Moves). Like only a handful others in the scene, her name signifies a strength of purpose and commitment to quality that is rare in the world of dance music.

For the Kutt.air stage this year Staxl prepared a special experimental dub DJ set - blending subby basslines and peculiar rhythms with spellbinding and ulterior sounds. Staxl is organizing punk and experimental DIY shows within the PRACHT and the Income Tax Refund collectives - both of which are dedicated to discovering as well as supporting innovative and exciting new music and artists - and co-runs the tape label U-Bac.

Sui blooms in the ever changing sphere, that emerges from a diversity of sounds and people either dropping in accidentally or with intent. She carefully sketches the expanding possibilities of such a night into a sonic trip. One never knows which path it might follow, but one thing is for sure: She'll take care of your rave. Inspired by Chicago house, ballrooms and electroclash, Sylvio B gathers styles and eras in his eclectic dj sets.

Rumours have it that he escaped from a confetti factory in some faraway place, and that he was on the road with a flea circus afterwards. That would explain why all those sepia-coloured scenes from exotic places appear before the inner eye of his listeners: With the steady, hypnotic rattle of a steam train in the background, they show sequences from Middle East, South America, India, and from the infinite realms of Inner Space. It's this organic amalgamation of traditional, hand-played music and the digital functionality of House beats that makes Timboletti a very special DJ and producer.

Encountering techno from the early 00s with the likes of Jeff Mills, Oscar Mulero, Luke Slater, 17 year-old Vincent Vidal discovers a new language and an energy he had never experienced before. he will spend most of his time searching for his own identity : completely bored by the minimal wave, he quits gigging and dedicates himself to producing. It’s later with dub techno and the renewal of techno that Vincent finds a new impulse: he finally rediscovers the same emotions as those from his early years. For Fusion he comes back with some Ambient Tunes.

Welcome to the eclectic world of VVET., who started mixing in 2016 and used to rave and organize parties & festivals with different collectives and friends from Leipzig/Dresden/Berlin/Hamburg. She likes to dive in to an ocean of weird sounds, getting slippery on the floor of subgenres and living a liquid live in Berlin. Sometimes soft, sometimes with a hitting hard dancing attitude her awesome collection of hot and weird breaks, groovy electro house steps mixed with highpitched nightcore voices and different experimental genres convinces you to get loose and dirty on the dancefloor.

My stage name is WAKA. I'm a songwriter, I do rap, beatmaking and I'm also a DJ. At the same time, I organize festivals, INTERSECTIONS and UMOJA with my association Baham Arts. In particular, I organized Queer Hip-Hop and Afro-Sound evenings, such as Ze Gaitto. I have always been passionate about music and got interested in it from 2013, then rap came into my life in 2014. Since then, I have participated in many underground scenes, nationally and internationally.

Since relocating from East Oxford to North London in 2010, Mantmast’s rise to Drum & Bass stardom has been nothing short of rapid. Citing such musical luminaries as A Tribe Called Quest and Group Home as major influences in the formative years of his career, it’s unsurprising that his delivery and rhyme flow is more akin to hip hop than D&B in its traditional sense.

Wosto was born in 1980 in Geseke (a small town in “Wostfalia”). As he would call himself an animal lover, he released all of the animals from Geseke in 1995 and rode a donkey through his hometown. The police came and arrested Wosto and his animal gang into a seperate district, where he still lives with them and plays records for them. To this day, many visitors come to see him playing and dancing and feed him with new music by throwing the records over the fence. It is said that there is a secret tunnel, so Wosto can escape from time to time and play some secret gigs outside. In 2013 Wosto and his best friend Kluentah founded FALLBEIL. So far they released many records on different labels all over the world. In 2017 Wosto and the two members of NOSTALGIE ÉTERNELLE started the trio SAUERSTOFFF. Wosto is also releasing solo records and is running his own vinyl label - TEERPAPPE.

She convinces with a stable technoid sound, flair for dramaturgy and empathy for her audience. So she picks up the dancers where they are and takes them on a trip through her own soundscape. Skillful arrangement of energetically driving tracks allows the dance floor to grow into a collective symbiosis that makes standing still impossible. Suprising cuts and cross-genre elements are special characteristics of Xenaia which often leave visitors with lasting memories. With 13 years of experience, her sound has changed over the years, but her values remain the same: female empowerment, gender equality and fairness in the scene. Rave must always have substance and is by no means apolitical for Xenaia.

Xrysafeniax, is a Berlin based dj and producer and the one half of Phallucipher, the experimental duo released on Athens/Berlin label, Templeyard Studios. As a multidisciplinary artist, stemming from experimental film and video, her approach to music invites fluidity in genres and formats and her dj sets vary in styles and bpm but maintain her intention to contextualise sound to audiences.
